Foundation of Health is pleased to announce that we have welcomed two new practitioners, Dr. Joanie Boux and Bev Johnson-Bender, to our team of handpicked clinicians and practitioners.
We are confident that these two dedicated and experienced professionals will form an important part of our clinic’s team. Both of these women are passionate about helping clients improve their overall health and wellness by providing them with several natural and holistic services.
Dr. Joanie Boux offers a variety of different services, including acupuncture, TCM reflexology, fire cupping, Tui Na massage, auricular acupuncture, and Gua Sha. Dr. Boux is passionate about finding ways to heal chronic pain outside of Western medicine by encouraging the body’s innate healing abilities.
After experiencing illness and chronic pain herself, Dr. Boux found relief by turning to alternative medicine. Now she uses her knowledge to help patients strengthen and rebalance their body’s underlying energetic forces to achieve peace, harmony, and well-being.
Joanie went to medical school in Manitoba and completed her anesthesiology residency in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She later attended the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Halifax.
Bev practices lymph drainage and Ortho-Bionomy to help clients experience a better sense of overall well-being. The techniques that Bev incorporates in her practice help bring balance to the body by assessing energy disruptions caused by factors such as stress, injury, accident, or emotional trauma.
Bev Johnson-Bender has had success working with a wide variety of health problems, including: chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, emotional difficulties, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, loss of vitality, migraine headaches, stress, tension-related problems, and more.
Bev studied Cranio-Sacral therapy and completed Basic and Advanced training in Ortho-Bionomy. She also studied John Pierre Barrel’s Visceral Lymphatic Drainage with the Upledger Institute.
